Now Accepting CareCredit at The Evergreen Initiative, LLC
Paying for mental health care out of pocket can feel overwhelming, especially when you are already managing other healthcare expenses or major life transitions. To support more flexible access to care, The Evergreen Initiative, LLC now accepts CareCredit as a payment option for eligible services.
CareCredit is one option available to clients who prefer to spread out healthcare costs over time rather than paying everything upfront.
What Is CareCredit?
CareCredit is a health and wellness credit card designed to help cover out of pocket healthcare costs. It can be used at over 285,000 locations nationwide for a wide range of health related services.
CareCredit is accepted by many medical, dental, mental health, and specialty providers. If approved for the CareCredit Rewards Mastercard, the card can also be used anywhere Mastercard is accepted. Approval and card type are determined by Synchrony Bank.
CareCredit is not insurance. It is a form of credit that allows eligible cardholders to make monthly payments for healthcare expenses.
How CareCredit Can Be Used at The Evergreen Initiative
Clients who are approved for CareCredit may be able to use it for eligible self pay services.
You may use CareCredit for all or part of the cost of services, up to your available credit limit.
Understanding CareCredit Financing Options
CareCredit offers different financing options depending on the purchase amount and the provider.
No Interest if Paid in Full Promotional Financing
Some qualifying purchases may be eligible for promotional financing periods such as 6, 12, 18, or 24 months.
Interest accrues from the purchase date but will not be charged if the full promotional balance is paid in full by the end of the promotional period. Minimum monthly payments are required. If the balance is not paid in full by the end of the promotional period, interest will be added to the account from the purchase date.
Reduced APR Financing Options
For larger purchase amounts, CareCredit may offer reduced APR financing options with fixed monthly payments over longer periods such as 24, 36, 48, or 60 months. Interest is charged at a reduced rate and payments continue until the balance is paid in full.
Not all providers offer all promotional options. Financing terms are determined by CareCredit and Synchrony Bank.
Is CareCredit a Good Fit for You?
CareCredit may be helpful if you:
Are paying out of pocket for mental health care
Prefer predictable monthly payments
Want flexibility beyond a single upfront payment
It may not be the right choice if taking on new credit would increase financial stress or if you are unsure you can pay off a promotional balance within the required timeframe.
I encourage all clients to carefully review CareCredit’s terms and consider what feels financially sustainable for them.

How to Use CareCredit at The Evergreen Initiative
If you already have a CareCredit card, please let me know prior to your appointment so payment can be arranged.
If you do not yet have CareCredit, you can check if you prequalify and apply directly through CareCredit. Prequalification does not impact your credit score. A full application will result in a hard inquiry if you proceed.
Approval decisions are made by Synchrony Bank, not by this practice.
